These balls are packed with fibre and filled with protein so that you won't fall hungry and snack on something naughty (hey, we're all guilty form time to time), great snack if your needing something to dig your teeth into! I've been snacking too much recently and also finding that i'm not hitting my protein intake, so with that being said I made these little beauties!

Did I forget to mention its a no bake recipe...YAASS! I'm all over no bake recipes because that means I don't need to watch my food cook in the hope that will cook faster. These can be eaten straight from your fridge too!
Almonds have great health benefits, they nourish you skin, they're packed with loads of nutrients and excellent food for the brain, as well as the oats in the recipe. You can make these more nutritious by adding in some chia seeds, which is something I intended to do but forgot. For protein I used Applied Nutrition Diet Whey, Chocolate Desert flavour! I love the flavour of this one, I use it in nearly everything I want to make chocolatey; pancakes, waffles, porridge...you name it!
INGREDIENTS
- 50g almonds
- 40g oats
- 1/2 tbsp honey
- 2 scoops of protein powder (Chocolate flavour)
- 1 egg
- Sprinkle of desiccated coconut (optional)
WHAT TO DO
1. Pulse your almonds in a food processor for around 30 seconds.
2. Add your oats and pulse again.
3. Add all other ingredients.
4. The constancy should be sticky and ready to mould into balls using your finger tips.
5. (Optional) Sprinkle a handful of desiccated coconut onto a tray and roll your balls until covered.
Hope you enjoy these as much as I do!
